Congratulations to Bryson Gage Poarch, a junior, for being chosen as our Underclassman Student of the Month for December 2020. Bryson is the son of Robert and Angela Poarch of Dinwiddie. Bryson’s mom, Angela, is part of the Upper School faculty at Brunswick Academy.
Bryson has attended Brunswick Academy since the 6th grade. He is currently enrolled in the most rigorous curriculum, the Honors Program, and has earned All A’s Honor Roll. Bryson further challenges himself with the Dual Enrollment Pre-Calculus online class through Liberty University Online Academy. During his Middle School years, Bryson played JV baseball and earned the Coach’s Award his 8th-grade season. Bryson’s love of baseball has continued during his Upper School years; he enjoys being a player on the varsity team. In addition to the baseball team, Bryson is a proud member of Brunswick Academy’s Scholastic Bowl team. Needless to say, the Brunswick Academy faculty have the utmost confidence in Bryson and have consequently nominated him for two separate Junior Leadership Summer Conferences, one at the University of Maryland and the other at Wake Forest University. In the future, Bryson hopes to attend either the University of Virginia or Liberty University to pursue a career in medicine or law.
