Cullen is the son of Leonard (’97) and Chrissy Corum (’97) of Dolphin, VA, and grandson of Earl and Vivian Stamper (’71) and Michael Corum, Sr. and the late Sarah Corum. Cullen has a sister, Aubrey Corum, who is an 8th grader at Brunswick Academy.
Cullen is enrolled in the Academic Program of study at BA. He has proven himself as a strong student and challenges himself with his academic studies. Cullen enjoys Spanish and was awarded the Spanish II and Spanish III awards for the highest GPA. Cullen recently learned he is a candidate for the National Honor Society. He has met the scholarship pillar and has submitted documentation for the 3 remaining pillars to be evaluated by faculty.
In addition to his academic focus, Cullen enjoys playing a variety of sports. For three years, he has been a part of the BA Cross Country team where he has excelled and been awarded the Coaches Award and MVP. Cullen has enjoyed playing basketball in the fall for the past four years where he earned Most Improved. In the Spring, Cullen can be found on the baseball field where he has played for BA for the past 5 years. He earned the Sportsmanship Award during his Sophomore baseball season for his positive attitude and fair treatment of others.
For the past several years, Cullen has volunteered at Brunswick Dixie Youth League in the Spring season to give back to the ballpark where he made so many memories as a child. He’s assisted coaches at practices (especially his sister’s team), participated in group clean-up days, concession stand duties, tournament scoreboard duties, and has even umpired games. Cullen is also a member of Ebenezer Community Church in Warfield, VA where he enjoys attending Church and Sunday School. He also volunteers during special events and fundraisers held at church.
Regarding plans for higher education, Cullen is interested in studying Criminal Justice and Spanish. After graduating in 2023, he hopes to attend Longwood or Hampden Sydney.
