Student of the Month

Denver Wright

Congratulations to Denver Wright for being chosen as Brunswick Academy’s Underclassman Student of the Month for September 2021.  Denver, a resident of Gasburg, VA, is the son of Stephen Wright (BA class of ’87) and Denise Clay Wright (BA class of ’87).

Currently, Denver is enrolled in the Honors program, the most rigorous curriculum of study at BA. Yet, Denver’s academic accomplishments are not a recent occurrence. As a 7th grader, Denver was selected as a Duke Tip participant and received the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence at the conclusion of his 8th grade year.

In addition to his academic studies, Denver devotes himself to a variety of other BA activities. He has been a member of the Student Council Organization since 7th grade. As a 9th grader, Denver was a member of the Art Club. In addition, Denver served as an esteemed representative on the school’s Honor Council.

Denver enjoys playing basketball as a Viking. He was on the JJV team for three years and was a Co-Captain his 8th grade year. Last year, Denver was an active participant of the JV team.  In his free time, Denver enjoys swimming and playing video games. Often, he can be seen worrying his mom as he practices his driving skills in preparation for earning his license.

Although his plans for the future are uncertain, he has an interest in becoming a plastic surgeon, dermatologist, or video game designer. After graduation in 2024, Denver hopes to attend University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, or Virginia Tech.
